April 21, 2008 - Senate President Pro Tem Mike Gibbons' SB 711 has passed the House committee and is awaiting further debate on the House floor. In the House committee hearing, as in the Senate committee hearing, the Taxpayers Research Institute of Missouri and NFIB were the only statewide employer groups that spoke in favor of the bill.Property tax reform is extremely important to our members and we are pleased to be leading the charge in supporting these changes to the property tax system.
